Anti-Foaming Agents

Aqueous solutions of GOHSENOL sometimes foam by strong mixing. This foaming could be suppressed by either reducing the mixing speed or controlling the temperature. However, addition of an anti-foaming agent such as silicone emulsion, PEO-PPO (Poly ethylene oxide-Poly propylene oxide) block copolymer, or octyl alcohol is effective for preventing foaming (some examples of the effectiveness of a few anti-foaming agents are shown below).
According to the type of application, defects such as insufficient anti-foaming effect or harmful influences such as turbidity may be observed.
