How To Use GOHSENOL
Thickeners and Extenders
As thickening agents, sodium alginate, polyacrylamide, starch, CMC, and methyl cellulose are available. However certain thickening agents may not uniformly dissolve into some aqueous GOHSENOL solutions, according to the concentration of the mixture. In this case, it would be advisable to change either the grade or the concentration of GOHSENOL. Furthermore, even if they are compatibilized and formed a temporary uniform mixture, a phase separation may occur over time.
As extenders, inorganic pigments such as clay, titanium dioxide, and Calcium carbonate are generally available.
The following chart shows the results of a compatibility test of GOHSENOL with corn starch.
